Cymande's all-time classic single finally gets an official reissue. Lifted from their legendary 1972 debut, "Bra" and "The Message" are two examples of timeless funk-soul of the highest order that have played a significant role in hip-hop/DJ culture.  Both tracks have been bootlegged to death, so if you have one of those old Paul Winley 12"s, do yourself a favor and upgrade to this official Mr. Bongo 45 pressing, complete with remastered sound from the original tapes and brand new pic sleeve cover art. Our vintage Lab review: Do you really need us to convince you on the merits of this single? Cymande is like your magical elf friend: there when you want it, gone when you don't. It's music that you'll constantly grabbing for when you need that jolt of vinyl-induced endorphins. "Bra" and its awesome breakdown on one side and the timeless chugga-chugga "Message" on the flip. Recommended.
