Elfman's soundtrack is as much a part of the film as any other element, and is quite considerably his masterpiece. It was Elfman and Burton's fourth collaboration and seems to have provided the perfect canvass for both the director and composer. Haunting and instantly recognizable, Edward Scissorhands would not be the film it is without Elfman's grand contribution.
