Danny Elfman: Pee-Wee's Big Adventure / Back To School Soundtracks Vinyl LP

Straddling the line between all-ages wackiness and adult-oriented wink-nudges, The Pee-wee Herman Show evolved from a stage show to an HBO special to a feature film in short order. Pee-wee’s Big Adventure was the directorial debut of Tim Burton, and the beginning of a lengthy collaboration with Oingo Boingo’s Danny Elfman. The score is quirky and retro, evocative of old-school silent film scores. This LP also includes a selection of Elfman’s musical cues from the Rodney Dangerfield vehicle Back To School. Please note that the music is not the exact version from the films, but a re-recording by the London Philharmonic Orchestra done in 1986.
