Please Come Home is the 2007 solo debut album from Dustin Kensrue, the vocalist, principal lyricist, and rhythm guitarist for Cali post-hardcore band Thrice. After he dropped the Ursus Veritas moniker, Kensrue recorded 8-tracker at bandmate Teppei Teranishi's home, and the songs are characterized by lyrics about love, hope, personal worth, and a generally positive, inspirational demeanor (even w/ Thrice, Kensrue is known for referencing Bible quotes for songs). Highlights include: "Blood & Wine," "Pistol," "I Knew You Before," and "Please Come Home." This reissue of the album is a part of Gilda's Club NYC Breast Cancer Awareness Series, and the proceeds will be used to provide community support for patients diasogned w/ cancer as well as their caretakers.
