Tugboat Edits continues to be one of the most reliable DJ edits series. Volume 6 taps the labels' international network of editors, all overseen by Chicago's Tug Boatman and TZ (if you like this, check out homies Razor N Tape as well). They've selected songs in their signature low and loose style, represented in various soul and funk styles. I can't stop listening to TZ's "To Be Free," a crisp piece of aviation funk (if there were such a genre). Like all the other Tugboat volumes, it's quality throughout. Hand Stamped edition of 400 copies, and known to raise in value.
