Cali-House with a throwback feel. San Francisco’s Vin Sol keeps up his busy year with a new EP on Soo Wavey. The EP is split up between the “Raw Side” and the “Deep Side” and features one track with frequent collaborator Matrixxman. These two have built a nice rapport following their vaunted Sade Edits. The West Coast has been really stepping up in the House game and Vin Sol is definitely carrying the torch for the retro/90’s vibe. Caked in 909s, bouncing basslines and sparse chords the whole EP recreates that guttural feel of the true house classics.
